What is the Pangea Rally format?

21 October - arrival and optional prologue ride, rider registration, welcome dinner and rally briefing.
22 October - day one of six awesome days of riding. 
27 October - last day of riding crossing the finish line in the Cape Winelands and finishing off with a celebratory dinner and restful nights sleep
28 October - departure after breakfast.

Is the Pangea Rally a race?

No. But it is a timed event with multiple checkpoints each day. The winning team matches our forecast “ideal time” for completion. This is a journey of discovery, endurance, and camaraderie—not a competition.

The first Pangea Rally will be taking place from 21 to 27 October 2026.

We'll be kicking things off with an optional prologue ride to Cape Point on the 21st October with registration for the rally taking place in the afternoon. The last day of riding will be on the 27th October with accommodation for the night included in your package.

How is each riding day structured?

Riders are grouped into smaller teams depending on whether you entered as a team or individually. If you’re riding solo, you’ll be carefully grouped with others of similar pace and experience. Groups set off in intervals to keep things safe, smooth, and enjoyable for everyone. This allows each team to ride at its own comfortable pace and manage stops along the way without pressure.
The format keeps the experience personal, lets you fully enjoy the route and scenery, and makes it easier for the support crews to assist everyone effectively throughout the day.

Do all Pangea Rally riders ride together?

Accepted Answer

No. Riders travel in smaller, staggered groups that are supported along the full length of the field. The first group of riders will usually arrive at each overnight stop 2 to 3 hours before the last group, with our support crew positioned throughout the route to provide assistance as needed.
